2.3 — What Partners See When They Receive a Request

  • The 'responding' partner's experience

Your partner receives a plain, professional email from DoNotReply@channel-chaser.com. The email contains:

    • A brief message explaining that you're requesting a pipeline update

    • The deal name(s) the update relates to

    • A single call-to-action button: Open Channel Chaser

    Logging in and submitting

When the partner clicks the link, they are taken to the Channel Chaser login page. Login is required — if it's the partner's first ever request, they will need to register before they can proceed.

Once authenticated, they are presented with the secure webform. The secure webform asks for:

    • Deal stage — a dropdown reflecting current progress: Qualifying, Proposed, Evaluating, Negotiating, In Review, Contracting, Won, Closed - Lost, Closed – Revoked, Stalled

    • Likelihood (%) — a percentage field reflecting confidence the deal will close

    • Expected close date — a date field for the partner's current forecast

    • Deal value — a currency field for the current deal value

    • Notes / Feedback — a free text field for any context, blockers, or next steps

    • Flagged — mark the deal as important / requiring attention or review

The partner clicks Submit Responses and they're done. The whole process takes under a minute.

What partners cannot do via the secure webform

    • They cannot edit the deal number, deal IDs, or partner contact email address

    • They cannot see other partners' deals

    • They cannot access your Channel Chaser account
